Ethical Policy

Standards for Research Quality and Conflict of Interest Policy

BUJIS is committed to publishing research that meets international academic standards. To uphold research quality, integrity, and transparency, the journal implements strict policies to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure a fair publication process.

Conflict of Interest Guidelines

To maintain the objectivity and credibility of the journal:

  • Editorial Family Submissions:
Immediate family members of the editorial board (including parents, spouses, siblings, and children) may publish no more than one paper across three consecutive issues of BUJIS.

  • External Submissions Requirement:
In compliance with HEC policy, self-institutional publications are not allowed. Therefore, only researchers outside the Bahria University Karachi Campus are eligible to submit manuscripts for publication in BUJIS.

Author Submission Requirements

All authors must ensure the following when submitting a manuscript to BUJIS:

  • The manuscript must be original and not previously published elsewhere.

  • The research should follow established academic and ethical standards and contribute new insights or perspectives to its field.

  • Proper referencing of primary and foundational sources is essential to maintain academic rigor.

  • Authors must adhere to the journal’s guidelines for writing style, grammar, and spelling, in line with the accepted academic standards for Arabic, Urdu, or English texts.
